Lazard Asset Management’s Alternative Investment business developed as an outgrowth of the Lazard group’s traditional investment banking and financial advisory businesses. The skills developed day-to-day through providing clients with the Lazard group's best financial advice offered us the opportunity to capitalize on our resources for investment outside the traditional sphere.

Currently, Lazard Asset Management’s Alternative Investment business is conducted in the United States, Europe and Asia. Investments in private and public equity range from focused technology venture capital to long/short equity. The goal of the Alternative Investments business is to provide our global clients with investment solutions that offer enhanced returns or diversification to traditional equity and fixed income investments.

In Australia, Lazard Pacific currently offers the Lazard Global Opportunities Fund, a long/short global equity strategy.

From our New York Offices, Lazard Asset Management also offers a fund of hedge funds strategy, a Japanese long/short equity strategy and the European Explorer strategy. Information about this product can be obtained through our Sydney office.
